Despite it still being the winter-that-won’t-end in the PNW, I’ve been channeling my inner spring positivity to will the sun to come out (TBH, not really working that well. If you want to send some sunny vibes this way, I definitely wouldn’t say no to that…) Even though Mother Nature may not totally be on board with what season it actually is, the festivities that come with this time of the year are officially here!
There’s a good chance that at this very moment, your refrigerator has not only become the place to store your food (and Rosé, obviously), but it has also become the display piece for countless bridal showers, weddings, and other forms of merriment that you’ll be celebrating in the coming months! After you’ve saved those dates and sent in those RSVP’s there’s only one other thing left on your to-do list: figure out exactly what your cute little self will be wearing to such festive events! The biggest requirement? It should be comfy enough to allow you to get down on the dance floor, and sassy enough to give you the confidence enough to do so in the first place.
I could not possibly be more excited for the events that lie in store this summer and spring. So much goodness to look forward to! 2017 will be one for the ages as my two best friends are getting married, my brother is walking down the aisle with the most incredible woman I could ever imagine, and some of my very dear friends are tying the knot with their one true loves. It’s going to be a summer for the books! When I began trying to find #eventprep mode, I kept coming back to one color. Periwinkle. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Pastels? For Spring? How groundbreaking…(insert Meryl Streep being sassy AF here…)
I know, I know. It’s not like pastels for spring bring earth shattering news to anyone, but this particular hue is just too irresistible for words. I’ve had to stop myself from buying too much of this goodness so my closet doesn’t become a periwinkle explosion (not that there’d be anything wrong with that, actually that sounds quite delightful). However, in all of my explorations I’ve found a few frocks that you just may find you need to add to your #weddingseason wardrobe. Have a formal affair coming up but don’t want to wear black? I got you covered, boo. Have an outdoor garden party/Catalina wine mixer/general reason for merriment? Don’t worry, we’ve got that here for you too, my sweet. So when it was time to prep for my besties bridal shower, it was this darling shade that had me shaking in my boots wedges with excitement.

I found the below number at my local Francesca’s for a steal, and you can snag the exact dress here!

Without further ado, let’s go ahead and explore the spring’s must have hue..
