Moving abroad has been one of the best decision we’ve ever made. It sure feels like we’ve learned a ton since we’ve been here, and I know that we’re really only on the tip of the iceberg.
So today, I thought I would get real real with ya and share some of things I wished I had known before moving abroad. You know, the “real life” parts of what it’s like to pick up your life and move to a completely different country.
Without a doubt, one of the questions I get asked most often is, “do you have tips for solo female travelers?” Firstly, I’m SO glad all my ladies out there aren’t letting fear stand in the way of traveling independently.
I took my first solo trip abroad in the Spring of this year, and tried to make the absolute most of it, but dang girl, did I learn a lot along the way! From (now looking back) comical ways of sprinting to a train I nearly missed, to chatting with fellow travelers I never would have otherwise, it broke me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible.
